College Application Support
The college application process can be daunting. Not only is there excessive pressure associated with selecting the "right" school, but there is also the intense anxiety tied to meeting all of the stringent deadlines in order to be accepted. While parents and other caregivers often handle much of the financial paperwork, students are often at a loss as to how to write the best college essay possible. This is where I can help! I have worked with countless students to develop the most refined, engaging, and expressive college essays to truly highlight the individuality of each applicant.
WHAT?
Focused support on college admission and scholarship essay development. Students will brainstorm, craft, develop, and edit essays so that they are of the best quality. Students receive one-on-one support as I work side by side with them to complete the written responses for their applications.
WHY?
The college application essay is the one piece that allows a school to truly know you as a person. Therefore, it is essential that you sell yourself in your essay in an engaging and inviting way. Students are often taught in high school how to write analytical essays, but the college application essay is not analytical. Therefore, students need to be creative and convincing while still maintaining a formal and appropriate tone.
WHEN?
Completing college applications can be stressful as there are many steps to the process. I highly recommend that students get a jump start on their essays and written components the summer prior to their senior year so they are not overwhelmed with school work and college application responsibilities. However, many students will be finalizing and revising through the Fall of their senior year. Regardless of the timing, I am here to help.
